Our service operates to the requirements of the Department of Community Services NSW National Standards and under the guidelines of the Family Assistance Office. Families are able to claim the Child Care Benefit (CCB) through reduced SMOOSH fees.
All children attending our service are cared for by well-qualified and experienced staff, who undertake ongoing training in order to better care and plan for the children of this service. Our service has developed several policy guidelines for staff working with children and these policies are available to parents for viewing.
SMOOSH is a community-based organization run by parents, for parents and their children. You are welcome to join the SMOOSH Committee by paying the annual membership fee of $2.00. This entitles you to vote at committee meetings, be part of decision-making and stand for election to the Management Committee.
The Committee is responsible for policy direction, financial management, staff selection and employment matters, and for ensuring that any other legal requirements are met.
