Priority of Access
SMOOSH aims to provide places for school age children needing care during their time outside of normal school hours. We will not discriminate against families needing care, however priority of access to childcare places will be determined by the government guidelines and placement on the waiting list.
Under the agreement with the Commonwealth Government, priority for a place at this centre will be given to:
- Working parents;
- Parents seeking work;
- Parents studying for work purposes.
Other places will be available if not filled by the above priorities.
Waiting List
Parents may place their child(ren) on the SMOOSH waiting list after payment of a non-refundable deposit. Placement from the waiting list is determined by:
- priority of access guidelines;
- siblings already in care, and;
- the date child(ren) are placed on the waiting list.
Parents are able to access their status on the waiting list on request. No-one will be discriminated against on the basis of his or her cultural background, religion, gender, disability, marital status or income.
Enrolment Process
Enrolments are taken at any time throughout the year and a non-refundable deposit is required for children to be placed onto our waiting list.
Placement is offered in accordance with the priority of access policy. The deposit will be reimbursed on commencement as part of fees.
Please bring completed Enrolment form to SMOOSH. You will be contacted by administrator when enrolment process will be completed.
